A shawl by Mindy Ross that you too can download on Raverly.

Truly one of my favourites pattern. Though I have to say the yarn makes this absolutely fabulous. Have you heard of “Hemp for Knitting” yes we used to tie our old newspapers into bundles for the recycling (That was back home in Switzerland way long ago). Well this Hemp is for knitting now. much more refined and softer than the rope I used for the papers.

Love this colour combo

Love, Love love knitting with this but then I enjoy knitting with Linen too that too can be a bit stiff and hard on your hands. But it softens up soooo much with knitting, washing and wearing the garment.

Pink, White and Purple colour combo. Looks nice too

I hope you are not shying away from this when you touch the hank  it really does get much softer with wear.

Myrtille by Coralie Grillet

A wonderful pattern that was  especially designed for this kit-a-long by “Siidegarte” for the last Christmas Season 2014. (Sorry I know I am a little behind in this post)

2015-01-10 17.49.31

Siide-Fideel is a wonderful soft Silk/Merino yarn and with this Xmas special edition colour even nice to know we have a one of a kind shawl. 1 skein = 600.0 meters (656.2 yards), 150 gram for mine I used needle US7 -4,5mm

I have ordered a view skeins from Siidegarte in the past and was happy with their services and the yarn. What makes it special to me is that it is from my home country and all there skeins  are named with a true Swiss name. In  “Schwiizerdütsch”

“Nine Patch” Table Runner

2014-10-18 17.06.46

So hard to work in a place that sells Yarn and Fabric….Ohhh that temptation. So I usually struggle with the yarn, but this time it was this fabric…just could not resist it….

SilverBlackRed it is this time with my choice of fabric.

Table Runner love it .2014-10-21 20.47.40

Sure it is not a ” Nine Patch” anymore. Out of the nine patch place set became a table runner. Though I used the same method as the Nine Patch Place set…just added extra patches to it and voila. I had a lot of great help form my Facebook friends left or right was the question ….

Here is my Table Runner for the Holiday Season

Left or Right were the choices

Left or Right were the choices

Finished Table Runner for the Holiday Season.

Finished Table Runner for the Holiday Season.
